Guisborough got their season under way at home to Consett on the 18th August.
Guisborough started the match brightly and came close on several occasions, but failed to take advantage of the early chances. Quarter of an hour into the match Guisborough forward Michael Todd damaged his hamstring and had to be substituted.
Shortly after Consett had a penalty turned down when one of their players was fouled on the edge of the penalty area. But Guisborough put the scare behind them and soon broke the deadlock when Darren Mowbray challenged the keeper and headed the ball across the goal to sub Anthony Wier to take an easy goal.

In the second half Consett were the better side. They had a lot of chances to equalised but didn't score until the 80th minute when Jeff Sugden scored from close range.

Billingham Synthonia were the opponents on the following Tuesday night.
The match started off slowly, with both sides having only one chance each in the first 20 minutes. After that both sides had chances but neither found the net. Towards the end of the half it was Guisborough who had the upper-hand, but they still couldn't break through.

The second half started with Billingham getting of to the better start. They came close to scoring from a free kick but keeper Martin Balls pushed the ball wide. It only took six minutes for Synthonia to score. The ball was crossed low and Chris Fawcett had the easy task of putting the ball in the goal. After the goal Synthonia started to play football and had a few chances to extend the lead. Their persistence paid off in the 83rd minute when Lee Flanagan went one on one with Martin Balls and put the ball in the back of the net. In the 88th minute Synthonia extended their lead further when the assistant referee kept his flag down and allowed Lee Flanagan, who was clearly offside, to slot the ball past the keeper. In the four minute of injury time
Guisborough scored a conciliation goal when Darren Mowbray headed the ball past ex-Guisborough goalkeeper Matthew Coddington. The ball was cleared but the referee judge the ball to have gone past the line.

The third match of the season was at West Auckland on the 25th of August.
The match started off with Guisborough getting off to a good start and were awarded a corner virtually straight away. Unfortunately Guisborough couldn't take an early lead. Both teams had several chances to score and in the 27th minute John Lydon scored for the home side. After the goal neither side had many goalscoring opportunities, but it was Guisborough who had the better chances. As half time approached West Auckland played the long ball, down the pitch and when Guisborough goalkeeper Martin Balls rushed out to the edge of the penalty area to punch the ball away, the referee judged him to have handled the ball outside of his penalty area, and he was shown the yellow card.

Guisborough started the second half much better than they had finished the first. They played some excellent football and were unlucky not to score on several occasions. Finally, in the 64th minute, Guisborough's persistence paid off. Adam McMahon received the ball on the left wing and successfully held off the defenders until his teammates arrived in the penalty area. He crossed the ball, but it ran out wide and Jamie Clarke picked up the ball and crossed for Chris McFee to place the ball home.
Town pushed forward again and looked the more likely of the two teams to get another. Eventually it was West Auckland's Philip McQuire who scored the winning goal in the 80th minute. The match ended 2-1 and Guisborough were unlucky not to come away with at least a point.

The first bank holiday game came on Monday 27th August. Billingham Town were the visitors, and the victors.
Guisborough started brightly. They forced several corners in the first half, but were unable to take the chances. Thirty minutes in to the game Billingham started to get involved a bit more and created some chances of the own. In the 41st minute the deadlock was broken. Paul Rowntree beat the keeper from the edge of the area to give Billingham Town the lead.

Billingham Town started the second half well. They held Guisborough away from their goal but failed to create many chances of their own. Guisborough soon came back into the game and showed the form that they had shown at the start.
Unfortunatly they still couldn't convert their chances.
Billingham extended their lead in the 61st minute. Former Guisborough star Robbie Hutchinson scored at the near post.
Guisborough responded by hitting the bar, they had a chance cleared of the line and then they hit the post. Finally Guisborough's persistence paid off. In the 75th minute Darren Mowbray headed in a superb cross from the left wing.

The F.A. Cup Preliminary round was arranged for the 1st of September, and Guisborough were drawn against Bacup Borough.
Guisborough started the match as the better team and were never really threatened by Bacup. Guisborough came close early on in the game when Stephen Richie had an 18 yard shot tipped around the post by Bacup keeper Adam Potts. They came close again several minutes later but Chris McFee hit his shot straight at the keeper.
On the half hour Guisborough came close again. This time Darren Mowbray headed the ball just wide.

Guisborough started the second half like they had finished the first. They had a few chances that they wasted, but after 61 minutes Stephen Richie scored after Bacup failed to clear a cross from David Dowd.
That was to be the only goal of the match. Guisborough were denied opportunity after opportunity by Bacup keeper Adam Potts.

The following Tuesday Guisborough were away to Seaham Red Star.
Guisborough started off the brightest and kept Seaham away from their own goal. But they failed the convert any of their chances. Guisborough's best chance came when Jamie Clarke was through on goal. But he was fouled on the edge of the penalty area before he could do any damage, and the resulting free-kick was wasted.
After half an hour Seaham started to fight back. After having a couple of chances turned away they broke the deadlock after 37 minutes through Gary McCartney. They had chances to make it 2-0 but Jamie Allinson made an excellent tackle to allow the rest of the defence to get back.

Guisborough came out for the second half and started cautiously. But in the 66th minute Jamie Clarke crossed the ball into the penalty area and the curl on the ball left the keeper watching as the ball hit the back of the net.
One minute later and Guisborough had taken the lead. This time Darren Mowbray headed the ball down to Andrew Swalwell, who picked out the bottom corner from the edge of the area.
As it was beginning to look like Guisborough were going to win the game Gary McCartney scored his second in the 71st minute. Guisborough didn't give up though and were rewarded for their patience 4 minutes from time when Darren Mowbray headed in Stephen McLean's cross.

Guisborough came into the game full of confidence after winning their previous three games. Neither team started brilliantly and they both failed to create chances. But in the 20th minute Consett scored. Gareth McKenna headed in from a corner.
Three minutes later a blunder from Martin Balls led to a second for Consett. When he missed the ball on a free-kick it hit the post and the rebound fell to Roy Gorden who had to just place the ball in the back of the net.
After that Guisborough showed the form they had shown on Saturday. Twice they had the ball cleared of the line, the first time when a Jamie Clarke overhead kick beat the keeper, and the second was a header from a corner. But they were rewarded in the 35th minute when Jamie Clarke poked home a goal mouth scramble. After getting the their first goal Guisborough went attacking, looking for an equaliser, and came close but the ball struck the bar.

In a second half dominated by Guisborough chance after chance was wasted by the home side to get the equaliser. Consett never troubled Guisborough keeper Martin Balls all half.
Guisborough's luck never changed and they failed to score despite having dozens of chances.

Next, Guisborough were away to Rossendale United in the 1st Qualifying Round for the F.A. Cup.
Rossendale started off the better team in this heated match, that saw eight yellow cards.
When Guisborough did manage to get the ball they played some brilliant football, putting together several passes in succesion.
It was after a series of passes that Guisborough broke through.
They were awarded a free kick on the edge of the penalty area, and when the ball slipt from the keepers grasp after the free kick was hit straight at him Jamie Clarke pounced to give the visitors the lead.
Rossendale continued to have the better share of the possesion but failed to create many chances untill the 42 second minuted when Steve Cunningham headed the ball past the keeper.
Half Time: Rossendale United 1-1 Guisborough Town.
Michael Todd made his return from injury, when he was brought on for Anthony Wyke at half time. Guisborough started the second half brightly. They dominated the half from start to finish, but couldn't break through the Rossendale defence.
Fifteen minutes into the half Rossendale took the lead. This time Gareth West headed past the keeper. They extended the lead to 3-1 eight minutes later, when Jerome Fitzgerald scored another header past Martin Balls.
Guisborough started to push forward again and had several shots saved by Mark Andrews in the Rossendale goal. Jamie Clarke scored his second of the game in the 1st minute of stoppage time. When Rossendale failed to clear he vollied the ball through the legs of the keeper and into the bottom corner of the goal.

Guisborough were at home on the following tuesday night against Newcastle Blue Star.
The game got of to a start and within 10 minutes Michael Waller scored an own goal. The rest of the half saw very few chances after that Guisborough came close on the half hour mark, but Paul Bennett parried the ball away. When Blue Star had a chance it was Martin Balls who made the save.

The second half got underway, but both teams where as poor as in the first half. Tensions started to fray and five players recieved yellow cards before Guisborough started to play the football that they have shown in previous games.
In the 86th minute Darren Mowbray headed home a vital goal, but he was judged to be offside by the assisstant referee and the goal was disallowed. Two minutes later the goal the Guisborough seeked came. Chris Knok slid into the path of the ball, and it was deflected into the net. The equaliser came another two minutes later. This time Jamie Clarke ran onto the through ball and the hand that the keeper got to the ball wasn't enough to prevent the equaliser.

The F.A. Vase was the next competition for Guisborough, and
West Allotment Celtic were the opponents in this qualifying round.
The game started off slowly and niether side had enough chances to threaten the keepers. When Guisborough finally made a chance they made it count. In the 36th minute Nathan Haslam played an excellent ball through to Stephen McLean, who wrong footed the defender and slotted the ball into the bottom corner.

The second half started off the same as the second half, but this time it didn't take 36 minutes for Guisborough to score. In the 17th minute Jamie Clarke headed home a Stephen Corden corner.
Guisborough nearly extended their lead further 15 minutes from time but Michael Waller hit the cross bar from outside the area.

Guisborough were at home again on Saturday 29th September. Chester-le-Street were the visitors.
Guisborough got off to a good start and had the better of the early chances, most noticeably when Michael Waller had a 20 yard shot turned over the bar. But it was Chester-le-Street who took the lead. Neil Maddison put the ball home after half an hour.
Guisborough only took 5 minutes to get back into the game. The cross from Jamie Clarke was placed into the bottom corner by Michael Todd.
Half Time: Guisborough Town 1-1 Chester-le-Street.
Again Guisborough started off the better team but failed to convert any of their chances. Michael Waller was unlucky again when another 20 yard shot was excellently pushed wide by Lenny French in the Chester-le-Street goal.
In the 75th minute Guisborough got lucky when Shaun Howes' cross hit Gary Andison and bounced into the goal. Town extended their lead further in the 84th minute when Shaun Howes latched onto Michael Waller's long ball.
Chester-le-Street scored a conciliation goal 3 minutes from time, Gary Andison making up for his earlier mistake. Chester came close to scoring an equaliser in stoppage time, but Guisborough cleared of the line.

Guisborough were away to high-flyers Whitley Bay on Tuesday 2nd October.
Guisborough started off well and within 3rd minutes they had taken the lead. Jamie Clarke hit the post from a Shaun Howes cross and the rebound fell to Stephen Richie and, in his first start of the season, he scored from close range.
Guisborough had the better of the chances after that and had a goal disallowed for handball.
On 13 minutes Guisborough extended their lead further. Johnathan Newton ran on to an excellent through ball by Shaun Howes.
Despite being the last goal of the half, their was plenty of action to keep the spectators happy. In the 27th minute Ian Milbourne was injured because of a late tackle. But the referee did nothing and the Whitley Bay players weren't happy about it. Andy Bowes let out his frustration 5 minutes from half time when elbowed Stephen Richie in the face. As a result, he was sent off.

In the second half Whitley Bay were the better team. And their night didn't look like it was getting any better until the 63rd minute when Gary Middleton scored for the home side.
Still Guisborough couldn't get out of their own half and if it wasn't for the superb effort of Matthew Pearson in the Guisborough goal Whitley Bay would have had even more goals.
Guisborough managed to hold on to their lead, and in stoppage time they should have had a third. Shaun Howes ran down the wing and shot on goal. The keeper parried the ball and Michael Todd put the ball wide from six yards out.

Guisborough were away again on Saturday 6th October. Local rivals Billingham Town were the opponents for the teams second meating of the season.
The visitors started brightly and within 5 minutes Shaun Howes carved his way into the penalty area and hit the post. Three minutes later they broke through. Nathan Haslam's corner was headed on goal and when the keeper could only parry the ball Darren Mowbray tapped the ball home from close range.
Billingham responded well, creating a few chances of their own, but Matthew Pearson was up to the task of keeping Billingham off the scoresheet. In the 34th minute Guisborough extended their lead. Christopher Dunwell brilliantly contolled Shaun Howes' cross and struck the ball into the top of the net. Two minutes later Greame Beverstock scored for the home side.
As half time approached Michael Todd was fouled by the Billingham goalkeeper. The keeper recieved a booking, and Guisborough got a penalty. Darren Mowbray missed from the spot, and the angry Darren Collier recieved a second yellow card for dessent. Ex-Guisborough player Richie Storr went in goal.

Guisborough started the second half like they did in mid-week; Poorly. Neither side had many chances, but Michael Todd should have scored when he was put through, and with only Richie Storr to beat he hit the ball straight at the keeper.

Thornaby were the next side to play Guisborough.
Guisborough began poorly and failed to create any chances that gave Thornaby keeper Steve Jones something to worry about. In the 38th minute Kevin Newell had goal disallowd for offside, but 2 minutes later he struck again, and this time it wasn't disallowed.
Half Time: Thornaby 1-0 Guisborough Town.
The second half showed no change in Guisborough's performance and within 17 minutes Thornaby doubled their lead. Kevin Newell hit home his second.
Two minutes later it looked like Guisborough's look has starting to change. Sub Alan Oliver lobed the keeper to make it 2-1.
Guisborough had several chances to score but faided to hit the back of the net and in the 86th minute David Lawson scored a penalty, after a Thornaby attcker was brought down by Matthew Pearson. In injury time Paul Coleby curled in the a shot from the left wing.

On Saturday 13th October Guisborough were at home to Jarrow Roofing.
Niether team got off to a good start, and Jarrow had the better of the early chances. After half an hour Guisborough steped up a gear and some brilliant passes from Michael Waller presented them with some excellent goalscoring chances. The best chance came when Michael Waller played a brilliant ball over the defence to Michael Todd, who vollied the ball just wide.
Guisborough broke through after 44 minutes. Andrew Swalwell played an excellent through ball to Michael Todd after taking on several Jarrow players. Todd pased the ball across goal to Swalwell, leaving the advancing keeper stranded, and Andrew Swalwell to score.
Half Time: Guisborough Town 1-0 Jarrow Roofing.
Guisborough played a lot better in the second half and created a lot of chances. 15 minutes into the secnod half Guisborough were awarded a penalty, when the ball hit the arm of a Jarrow Roofing defender. Jamie Clarke steped up to take the penalty, but the keeper got down well to save the it. A minute later Guisborough extended their lead. Andrew Swalwell's corner was headed home by Darren Mowbray.
In the 76th minute Guisborough put the game out of Jarrow's reach. Stephen McLean ran past six people and crossed for Jamie Clarke to make up for the earlier penalty miss. Seven minutes later Michael Waller curled in a 30 yard free-kick to add insult to injury for Jarrow Roofing.

Another mid-week game saw Guisborough taking on Durham City.
Stuart Irvine put the visitors into the lead in the 25th minute. 8 minutes later Andrew Swalwell tapped in at the far post. But the score only stayed level for 2 minutes. Lee Ludlow restored Durham's lead.

Durham only took 10 minutes to extend their lead. Michael Taylor getting his name onto the scoresheet. A minute later the referee got in the way of a Guisborough clearance and Stuart Brightwell hit the ball home from the edge of the area.
Guisborough responded 10 minutes later when Darren Mowbray put the ball past Marc Riches. 3 minutes later Guisborough got the score back to 4-3, Michael Driscoll headed past the Durham keeper.

On Saturday 20th October Guisborough played Hatfield Main in the 1st round of the F.A. Vase.
Guisborough got off to a brilliant start, taking the lead in the 4th minute when Shaun Howes went past 3 Hatfield Main players and hit the ball into the bottom corner. Guisborough doubled their lead in the 15 minute from a Jamie Clarke penalty.
Both teams were reduced to 10 men 5 minutes later when a fight broke out in the middle of the pitch. The referee sent off Stephen Richie for Guisborough and Jason Miller for Hatfield Main. Both players were trying to brake up the brawl.

Guisborough took 8 minutes to grab a third. An excellent long ball was latched onto by Michael Todd, who calmly slot the ball past the keeper.
In the 66th minute John Groome got an important goal for Hatfield Main when he headed the ball over Matthew Pearson. But 9 minutes later Hatfield Main conceded a fourth, and Jamie Clarke grabbed his second with a 16 yard volley.
Three minutes later John Brown scored Hatfield Main's second of the match to bring the difference to two, and in the 90th minute he beat Guisborough keeper Matthew Pearson with another looping header.

The following week Guisborough played Dunston Federation Brewery.
A slow start to the game saw Dunston having the better of the chances but they failed to score untill the 37th minute, Nicholas Scaife scoring from a free kick. Two minutes before the interval Dunston goalkeeper Andrew Hutchinson was stood on in a goal mouth scramble. He had to be taken to hospital and recieved 20 stiches in his head.
Half Time: Guisborough Town 0-1 Dunston Federation Brewery.
Dunston doubled their lead in the 46th minute, Stephen Mason scoring. Shortly after Guisborough had Chris Leadbitter sent off, for an eledged elbow to the face of a Dunston player.
Dunston made use of their extra man and Nicholas Scaife made it 3-0 in the 73rd minute. Guisborough then had Michael Waller sent off for swearing at the referee. With 8 minutes to go Dunston made it 4-0, this time sub Anthony Healer scored.

On Wednesday 31st October Guisborough played away to Peterlee.
Guisborough had a chance early on when Kevin Newall caught the Peterlee defence in position, but the striker shot wide.
Guisborough scored in the 5th minute, though, Jamie Clarke scoring a diving header. Guisborough made it 2-0 in the 14th minute. This time the defensive header fell to Michael Driscoll, who hit a shot from 18 yards. Kevin Newall made it 3-0 10 minutes later. Sean Howes' shot was parried by the keeper and Kevin Newall made no mistake.
Peterlee got their only goal of the game in the 32nd minute, when Ben Hall slot the ball past the keeper. The home side had a shot cleared off the line minutes later, and after that Karl White had a penalty saved by Graeme Waind.

Guisborough started the second half poorly, but as time went by they started to play better, and on 73 minutes Jamie Clarke headed in his second. Debutant David Piggott scored his first goal for the club with 10 minutes to go.

Brandon United were Guisborough's hosts on Saturday 3rd November.
Guisborough took the lead in the 39th minute when Jamie Clarke chipped the ball into the path of Stephen McLean who fired the ball into the roof of the net.

Guisborough had to resist strong pressure in the second half, and managed to keep a clean sheet untill the 57th minute when Micky Cunningham hit an unstopable volly into the corner of the goal.

Guisborough faced another tough test on Saturday 10th
November in the 2nd round of the F.A. Vase against Whitley Bay.
Guisborough took the lead on 39 minutes thanks to a well taken free kick by Jamie Clarke.
Half Time: Guisborough Town 1-0 Whitley Bay.
The visitors started better in the second half and within 10 minutes they had an equaliser. It came from Andrew Dugdale in the 52nd minute. Guisborough again took the lead in the 60th minute. Jamie Clarke scored from the spot after there was a push on a Guisborough player inside the penalty area. The referee awarded the penalty despite the ball crossing the line.
Whitley Bay's second came from Ian Chandler in the 70th minute.

Both sides showed fatigue in extra time, and neither created many chances.

Guisborough played better in the second half and almost got a winner. First Jamie Clarke headed the ball just over the bar with the keeper stranded. Clarke again nearly got a winner. This time he shot at an open goal, only for the ball to get stuck in the boggy goalmouth. Ian Milbourne cleared

After their 2-2 draw with Whitley Bay, after extra time, Guisborough travelled to Whitley Bay on Tuesday 13th
November for an F.A. Vase 2nd round replay.
Whitley Bay scored in the 15th minute through Steve Cuggy, and managed to hold off mounting pressure from Guisborough.
Half Time: Whitley Bay 1-0 Guisborough Town.
Guisborough had numerous chances to get the equaliser in the second half, but the goal that they desperatly searched for didn't come, and eventually Whitley Bay scored a second. This time Ian Chandler scored. The goal came in the 87th minute and despite appeals for offside the goal was allowed to stand.

Guisborough were away again on Saturday 17th November. Morpeth Town was the destination this time.
Morpeth took the lead on, in the 4th minute, through Paul Beavers after a lack of communication between keeper and defender. They extended thier lead in the 32nd minute. This time David Raynor beat Matthew Pearson.

Morpeth scored the only goal of the half to make it 3-0, Paul Beavers scoring his second.

After being knocked out of the F.A. Vase and the League Cup, and since they didn't have much chance of winning the F.A. Cup Guisborough needed to perform in the North Riding Senior Cup against Fishburn Park.
Fishburn took the lead in the 25th minute through Daniel Brown and they doubled that lead in the 43rd minute, this time Stuart Marsay scored past Matthew Pearson.

Guisborough took untill 3 minutes from time to get a goal back. Darren Mowbray headed the ball home.

After loosing to Fishburn Park Guisborough looked to bounce straight back at Ashington on Saturday 24th November.
Guisborough took the lead following a goal-mouth scramble in the 24th minute, Christopher Dunwell got the final touch. They doubled their lead 4 minutes later, Darren Mowbray headed in a corner. Kevin Newall made it 3-0 in the 31st minute when the keeper spilt his shot and the ball rolled into the back of the net. Jamie Clarke scored a minute later, his shot curled into the top corner. Newall scored again in the 38th minute. This time he tackled the keeper a slot the ball into an empty net.
Gareth McGihie pulled one back 2 minutes later with an unstopable shot.
Half Time: Ashington 1-5 Guisborough Town.
Darren Mowbray added a sixth within 4 minutes of the restart after some good build up play. Kevin Newall scored the seventh to complete his hatric in the 58th minute when he latched onto a through ball from Jamie Clarke.
Alan Hogg scored Ashington's second in the 72nd minute to reduce Guisborough's lead to 5.

After their biggest win of the season Guisborough came into the Bedlington Terriers game with confidence running high throughout the team.
Terriers took the lead in the 25th minute through John Milner.

Saturday 1st December was Guisborough's next game. It was away at Chester-le-Street.
Darren Mowbray gave Guisborough an early lead with a 9th minute header. Chester-le-Street responded well but they couldn't get past Matthew Pearson.
Half Time: Chester-le-Street 0-1 Guisborough Town.
Martin Bowes equalised for Chester-le-Street in the 53rd minute, but his goal was cancelled out by Kevin Newall a minute later.
Chester-le-Street equalised again in the 71st minute, this time the goal was from Andy Blower.
Full Time: Chester-le-Street 2-2 Guisborough Town.
Washington Ikeda Hoover were Guisborough's next opponents on Saturday 8th December.
Kevin Newall gave Guisborough the lead in the 38th minute but Washington Ikeada Hoover soon equalised through Lee O'Donovan.
Half Time: Guisborough Town 1-1 Washingon Ikeada Hoover.
Guisborough regained the lead in the 74th minute from the penalty spot for a foul on Kevin Newall. Jamie Clarke converted.

Guisborough came into the game on Saturday 15th December with a score to settle with Thornaby for the 4-0 that they recieved earlier in the season.
Guisborough had several good chances in the first half an hour but they didn't score untill Stephen Richie headed home a Stephen McLean cross in the 31st minute.

Thornaby were awarded a penalty in the 54th minute for a foul that only the referee saw. Chris Reeve made it 1-1 from the penalty spot.
Guisborough took the lead again in the 62nd minute after some brilliant football. Thomas Jones headed home. Jamie Clarke made it 3-1 2 minutes later.

Guisborough then went from the 15th of December until the 12th of January without a match due to post-ponements because of bad weather. When they did finally get a match on it was at Consett.
Both teams showed a lack of match practice and neither looked like scoring.

The best chance of the first half fell to Michael Todd when he broke away from a Consett defender and ran into the penalty area, but the referee brought play back for a foul on Todd despite Guisborough having the advantage.

Guisborough were then at home to Peterlee on Saturday 19th January.
The first half saw no goals and little action.

Thornaby took the lead in the 50th minute. Stuart Jewson scored. Paul Hinton made it 2-0 in the 75th minute and Ben Hall sealed the win for the visitors in the 77th minute.

Guisborough were at home again on Tuesday 22nd January, Tow Law Town were the visitors.
Tow Law scored first in the 20th minute through Kraig Wilkinson.
Christopher Dunwell got the equaliser 18 minutes later.

The second half saw no goals and little action.

Guisborough were at home again one week later against
Seaham Red Star.
Christopher Keegans gave Guisborough the lead in the 14th minute an attemp from Darren Mowbray hit the bar and another hit the post Keegans managed to poke the ball home.
Seaham equalised in the 26th minute. Andrew Watt headed home from close range.
Half Time: Guisborough Town 1-1 Seaham Red Star.
Guisborough re-took the lead after just 10 minutes of the second half had passed. Shaun Howes ran on to the long ball and calmly slotted the ball underneath the keeper.
They finally made it 3-1 in the last few minutes of the game. Wayne Osborne linked well with Jamie Clarke in a brilliant one-two and fired home to score his first goal since signing from Billingham Town.

On Saturday 2nd February Guisborough played Marske United, who they should have played on boxing day.
Marske should have taken the lead in the 37th minute but were denied by some brilliant saves by Simon Corbett. But they did score from the resulting corner. Ex-Guisborough player Craig Gibbon poked the ball into the back off the net.

The only event of note in the second half was when Wayne
Osborne was sent off for throwing a punch at one of the Marske players.

The following Tuesday Guisborough played Whitley Bay for the fourth and final time of the season.
Both sides failed to score in the first half, but both teams would have scored but the goalkeepers were in excellent form.
Half Time: Guisborough Town 0-0 Whitley Bay.
Guisborough scored within 4 minutes of the restart. Some good play on the left wing resulted in Christopher Keegans heading the ball home. Thomas Jones made it 2-0 when he was put through in the 63rd minute. He calmly put the ball underneath the goalkeeper.
Whitley Bay scored a conciliation goal with a minute to go. When Simon Corbett was judged to have brought down the attacker. Marc Walton scored from the spot.

Billingham Synthonia were the next visitors to the KGV on Saturday 16th February.
Synthonia took the lead in the 34th minute through Lee Flanagan.
Half Time: Guisborough Town 0-1 Billingham Synthonia.
Guisborough saw chance after chance go begging in the second half and it looked like Synthonia were going to take all 3 points untill Kenneth Davies scored an own goal in the dying minutes.

The following Saturday Guisborough were away to table toppers Bedlington Terriers.
Neither side managed to break through in the first half.
Half Time: Bedlington Terriers 0-0 Guisborough Town.
Five minutes after the restart Bedlington broke the deadlock. Robert Cockburn scored for the home side.
Guisborough equalised five minutes later when Thomas Jones cut through the Bedlington defence and laid the ball through for Jamie Clarke score.
But Bedlington responded by putting more pressure on the Guisborough defence and in the 65th minute Dean Gibb restored Bedlington's lead. They extended their lead further in the 78th minute through Anthony Chapman.

On Saturday 2nd March Guisborough were at home to West Auckland.
The first half remained goal less after both sides wasted their chances.

West Auckland grabbed the winner in the 85th minute through Paul Stout.

Newcastle Blue Star was the venue on Tuesday 5th March.
Guisborough were the better side in a goal less first half.

Guisborough were the better side again but still failed to beat Paul Bennett.

Guisborough were away again on Saturday 9th March. Jarrow Roofing were the opponents.
Guisborough came into the game having not won in the last 4 games and with 25 minutes gone Jarrow took control of the game. Craig Netson scored from the spot just 2 minutes after having a goal disallowed.
Guisborough responded in the 32nd minute when David Dowd crossed for Jamie Clarke to volly home. Simon Corbett made an excellent save on 39 minutes from Craig Netson to keep the game at 1-1, and Guisborough could have taken the lead on the stroke of half time when Michael Irving handled the ball, but Jamie Clarke missed from the spot.

Jarrow were the better side in the second half. Simon Corbett made an important save from Paul Chow 3 minutes into the half, and then the same player hit the post on 51 minutes. But it took Jarrow until the 83rd minute to get the winner. Craig Netson scored his second of the game.

Guisborough made the trip to Durham City on Tuesday 12th March.
Durham got the only goal of the half in the 22nd minute through Michael Taylor.

The second half saw no goals despite Guisborough have several good chances.

Guisborough were at home for the first time in 3 games on Saturday 30th March, against Brandon United.
Guisborough started brightly and took the lead on 18 minutes. Tom Jones fired home after Michael Todd failed to connect with a Shaun Howes cross.
Brandon equalised 8 minutes later through Mark Patterson, and they then took the lead on 42 minutes through Rob Marsden.

Guisborough equalised with just three minutes to go. Kevin Newall hit a 25 yard shot passed the stunned Brandon keeper.
Guisborough then could have grabbed a winner when Chris Pearson got away from the defence and forced Ben Cole to make a vital save.

Two days later, Monday 1st April, Guisborough played Marske United, and were looking for their first win in 7 games.
Guisborough were easily the better side in the first half and could have taken the lead on 20 minutes. Shaun Howes cut through the Marske defence and crossed the ball into the penalty area, but Jamie Clarke hit the ball straight at the goalkeeper. They could have also scored when Michael Todd worked his way into some space, but he scuffed his shot wide.
The goal Guisborough seeked finally came in the 28th minute. Shaun Howes went on another brilliant run and crossed the ball for Kevin Newall to volly home.
Half Time: Marske United 0-1 Guisborough Town.
Guisborough were again the better side and they doubled their lead on 65 minutes. Shaun Howes did all of the work to beat the defenders and he laid the ball off to Michael Todd who curled the ball into the top corner from 20 yards.
Marske got a consolation goal 2 minutes later. Marske worked their way into the Guisborough box, and when Ben Thompson's shot was going across the face of the goal it hit Adam McMahon and went in.

Guisborough were at Tow Law on Saturday 6th April.
Guisborough took the lead on 11 minutes when Michael Todd scored from a Simon Kasonali corner. They only managed to keep the lead for 9 minutes before Scott Nicholson scored the equaliser. Brian Wake then put the home side into the lead in the 36th minute.

The second half saw no goals, but did see goalkeeper Simon Corbett carried off with an injury after a challenge from a Tow Law attacker. Anthony Wyke replaced him in goal.

With three games left Guisborough were away to Washington Ikeada Hoover on Wednesday 10th April.
Guisborough dominated a goalless first half.

Substitute Thomas Jones gave Guisborough the victory, just 2 minutes after coming on.

On Saturday 13th April Guisborough were hosts to Morpeth Town.
Guisborough took the lead through a Simon Kasonali penalty 5 minutes before half time.
The penalty was awarded after Warren Dawson appeared to elbow Jamie Clarke. Dawson was sent off.

Thomas Jones scored the second in the 59th minute, and Michael Todd got the third 10 minutes later.

The final game of the season came against Ashington on Saturday 20th April.
Thomas Jones scored his 3rd goal in as many games to get Guisborough off to a 14th minute lead.
Stephen Robson scored for the visitors the even the score, just a minute before Kevin Newall was injured in a challenge at the other end.
